Welcome to the charming streets of Hoi An! Here are a few tips to help you explore the town:

🚴 Biking

Hoi An is best explored by bike! You can rent bicycles from local shops, or we may have some available on-site—just ask. Biking is a great way to see the rice fields, beaches, and historic areas up close. Please be mindful of traffic and keep to the right to avoid scooters passing by.

🛵 Motorbike

For a bit more freedom, scooters are also available for rent around town. Rentals usually come with helmets, and you’ll need a valid license to rent one, typically costing around 100,000-150,000 VND ($4-6 USD) per day. Feel free to ask our team for recommendations on reputable rental shops.

🚌 Public Transportation

While Hoi An doesn’t have an extensive public bus network, there is a bus connecting Hoi An to Da Nang if you’re planning to explore the larger city. The bus stops are located near the main market area. The cost is affordable, and the scenic route along the coast makes it a lovely way to travel.

From Da Nang, local buses to Hoi An are affordable, ranging from 60,000-80,000 VND ($2.50-3.50 USD) each way.

🚖 Taxis

For quick trips, taxis are readily available, and apps like Grab operate in the area for easy ride-hailing. Make sure to confirm the price before starting the trip or use the meter to avoid any confusion.

🏃 Walking

If you’re heading into the Old Town, walking is a fantastic way to enjoy its narrow, pedestrian-friendly streets. The UNESCO-protected area is beautiful to explore on foot, with lantern-lit paths, charming shops, and restaurants at every turn.
